Canada agreed to support aquaculture industry “It’s a big Step”
In Miami, fisheries ministers from all 10 of Canada’s provinces signed the agreement to support new federal aquaculture law which could be trick point same as in Norway, Scotland and Chile.
Tim Kennedy, president and CEO of the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance (CAIA), said “It’s a big step,” in Miami, Florida.
“It’s a conservation act. It doesn’t even have the word aquaculture in it. It’s not designed at all for a growth-oriented farming sector, like ours is,” Kennedy said.
